Incomplete and out-of-date forms

A submittal form only reflects the analysis that was run. When that analysis is missing, out of date, or doesn't cover every side of a facility, the form says so with a printed notice, an N/A value, or a Sides not analyzed row, so that a partial form can't be mistaken for a finished one. This page explains each one and how to clear it.

Prerequisites

  • You must have the Project Read Permission or higher to view forms
  • You must have the Project Edit Permission or higher to use Regenerate Faces

N/A values

On the ATF forms, a required-distance or weight cell for a facility pair or explosive class that was never analyzed reads N/A rather than a distance. A cell reading N/A never counts as compliant or as a violation, and a zero on an ATF form is always a real result rather than a placeholder for missing data. On every standard's form, a Reverse: distance for a face pair with no reverse result also reads N/A.

Form incomplete (ATF)

When the analysis behind an ATF form has not been run, the form shows a Form incomplete notice above the General Information section. This notice prints:

  • On the PES form it reads "IBD analysis has not been run for this facility. Exposure data below is incomplete — run the analysis before submitting this form." The paired-relationships table then reads "No exposures listed — the inclusion zone could not be computed (see notice above)."
  • On the ES form it reads "No analysis results exist for this facility for this criteria. Required distances below are shown as N/A — run the analysis before submitting this form."

Analysis out of date

Any form — DCMA, DESR, NATO, or ATF, PES or ES — shows an Analysis out of date notice above the General Information section, reading "Re-run the analysis before submitting this form.", when its rows may not match the facilities' current faces. This happens when, for the form's criteria:

  • A row's PES or ES face is no longer analyzed (for example, a custom face now replaces it). Those rows are left off the form
  • The sited facility, or a PES listed on the form, has had its analyzed faces or search zones changed and has not been analyzed since
  • A PES whose search zone reaches the sited facility has had its faces changed, or has never been analyzed, so its results against this facility may be missing

Saving a facility whose analyzed faces or search zones changed — including a search distance change or Regenerate Faces — marks it, its partner facilities, and every PES whose search zone reaches the changed faces for re-analysis. Editing only a facility's notes, description, name, label, or style does not.

The notice prints. On an ATF form that already shows Form incomplete, the Analysis out of date notice is not added.

When a form shows Form incomplete or Analysis out of date, the facility name in the printed page footer is prefixed with INCOMPLETE on every page, so a partial form cannot be mistaken for a finished one. To clear it, run the analysis for the project, then reselect the facility to regenerate the form before printing.

Sides not analyzed

When a side of the sited facility, or of a facility listed on the form, has no analyzed face under the form's criteria, the form prints a Sides not analyzed: row under the sited facility's row in DATA ON FACILITY TO BE SITED. It lists the sited facility's sides by name first, then each other facility's sides prefixed with the facility name, for example Sides not analyzed: rear, ECM 12 rear. Nothing is measured from a listed side, so the form says nothing about the separation from that side.

A side is left without an analyzed face when:

  • A face on the facility's Segments tab is set never to be analyzed and no other face covers its side
  • The facility was created before v0.31 and its default faces do not match its criteria's sides — for example, a single perimeter face on a four-sided facility. These facilities are not converted automatically

To fix an older facility, rebuild its default faces from the criteria with Regenerate Faces, then re-run the analysis:

  • For every facility in the project, open the Analysis menu and select Regenerate Faces
  • For one facility, open it in the feature editor, click the Segments tab, click Regenerate Faces, and save

Troubleshooting

The form shows "Analysis out of date"

Cause: The sited facility, a listed PES, or a PES that can reach the sited facility had its analyzed faces or search zones changed and has not been analyzed since. See Analysis out of date.

Solution: Run Analyze Project from the Analysis menu, then reselect the facility on the form tab.

The form prints "Sides not analyzed" for a facility you have not changed

Cause: The facility's default faces were built before v0.31 and do not match its criteria's sides.

Solution: Select Regenerate Faces in the Analysis menu (or on the facility's Segments tab, then save), run the analysis again, and regenerate the form. See Sides not analyzed.
