Updates
This page tracks notable changes to the How-to guides from one release to the next — new articles, renamed or moved pages, and reorganized sections. The most recent changes are listed first.
v0.24 — July 2026
Siter v0.24 replaces the My Projects panel with a dedicated Project Management page and adds a project Compare / Merge tool. The docs are updated throughout to match.
New articles
- Project Management page — the new page that opens from Projects in the navigation bar: group and sort your projects, act on them from the row menu, manage access, and review access requests across every project you administer (a new v0.24 feature).
- Comparing and merging projects — diff two projects that describe the same site and selectively merge changes from one into the other (a new v0.24 feature).
- Training Module 9 gains a Compare and merge lesson.
Updated
- Projects — create, open, import, archive/restore, and delete flows now route through the Project Management page.
- Sharing projects — sharing is now managed from the Manage Access dialog and the page-level Access requests inbox; requesting access moved to the key button on the Project Management page.
- The Module 9 training lessons (Sharing, Export and import, Copy, Archive and delete) and the import steps in the Module 6/7 exercises reference the new page.
- Deploying a Siter Environment — the API now requires a persistent storage volume for self-hosted imagery; the base compose file and a new File Storage (Hosted Imagery) variable reference cover it. A new Storage and Volumes section explains what each volume holds, named volumes vs. bind mounts, and the backup/upgrade/migration implications. A new Air-Gapped Installation section covers installing and upgrading from transferred image archives on hosts without registry access.
- New Licensing guide — applying and renewing licenses from the Admin UI or (single-tenant) through configuration, and how editor seats are counted.
v0.23 — June 2026
Substantial re-write, reorganization, and additional articles.

Reorganized

- Operating lines has been renamed to Relationship Groups to match the application.
- Feature relationships and notes has been split — Feature relationships is now its own article, while notes remain on the Features page.
- Placement analysis now appears at the bottom of the How-to guides, just below the Utility tools section.
